Cama Beach State Park opened on Camano Island in June 2008, the first new state park in more than a decade. Situated on the water against a forested backdrop, the 433-acre park includes rustic beachfront rental cabins and is home to the Center for Wooden Boats’ second campus.

Interested in Forming a Group to Support Your Favorite State Park? The Washington State Parks Foundation has formed a resource panel to assist volunteers in organizing and developing "Friends of Parks" groups. Panel members are experienced in such organizational matters as articles of incorporation, by-laws, federal tax exemption, state non-profit registration, business licenses, sales tax, fund raising, park stores, and many other issues. You may contact one of the panel members directly as set forth below. Please check back because over time as we will add specific documents and guidance as examples to help you.
