Come join us and our many partners that share their love of the beach, shellfish and Puget Sound on April 30th from 11:30 to 3:30 pm. Enjoy live music, a shellfish lunch provided by Taylor Shellfish Farms, beach walks and children’s activities.
Shellfest is a free event that will be held in Penrose Point State Park’s main day-use area, but a Discover Pass is required and can be purchased in advance at the www.discoverpass.wa.gov online portal. Taylor Shellfish Farms will provide a free lunch, however a suggested donation of $7 dollars per person or $20 dollars per family will benefit our work to improve state parks.
Entertainment will be provided by the 133rd Army National Guard Band, and a local favorite, The Blue Grass Minstrels.
Enjoy a stroll on the low-tide beach, or join in on a guided walk by local experts. Several groups are planning hands-on activities and touch tanks for the children. There will be educational booths and many participating agencies and organizations. They include Washington State Parks, Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, Dept. of Ecology BEACH Program, Sea Grant Washington, Harbor Wildlife, and Washington CoastSavers, just to name a few.
Penrose State Parks is located at 321 158th Avenue Kp S, Lakebay, WA 98349
