PROGRAM SUPPORT

Approved for funding in 2010

Arts in the Parks and Interpretive Services

With declining state resources, the Foundation has also stepped up and kept some programs alive that have lost state funding.  An interpretive position at Lime Kiln State Park (a great orcas viewing place) was funded for several months this summer, and assistance was given to the Arts in the Parks program and its mission of bringing our region’s diverse cultural communities into our state parks.  Both efforts- and similar efforts in the near future- are part of a Foundation effort to help keep our state parks’ programs alive through these tough economic and budgetary times.
