Sacajawea
The Foundation helped fund an interpretive center that features interactive displays telling the story of the Lewis and Clark Expedition through the experiences of Sacagawea, the young Shoshone Indian woman who went along on the journey. The project provided greater access and improved interpretive displays for the park’s diverse population of users.
The 284-acre day use park, located at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia rivers, also features 9,100 feet of freshwater shoreline, a river beach and a playground.
