Sun Lakes/Dry Falls
The Foundation plans to construct a new amphitheater at Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park, a popular Eastern Washington destination. The 4,027-acre park offers 600 campsites and 73,640 feet of freshwater shoreline at the foot of Dry Falls, one of the great geological wonders of North America.
Carved by ice age floods, the former waterfall—once ten times the size of Niagara Falls—is now a stark cliff 400 feet high and 3.5 miles wide overlooking a desert oasis filled with lakes and abundant wildlife.
The new amphitheater will provide enhanced facilities to serve up to 125 campers nightly who can enjoy fun interpretive and educational presentations by the park rangers.
