Friends of Fort Worden State Park invite you to their annual meeting and party

Join us to learn about our organization’s work and dedication to Fort Worden.  We’ll meet and socialize on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Company A, Fort Worden Commons.  Appetizers, no-host bar, silent auction Free for members; $5 for nonmembers. Our annual meeting will also include a lecture on “Putting Well-Being in Its Place—How Deep Connections with Place and Nature Support Health”  by Dr. Kathleen L. Wolf. Her hour-long talk, from 6:30 to 7:30, will incorporate images from Fort Worden State Park that underscore why our 433 -acre park is a rare and valued treasure within the Port Townsend community and beyond

Dr. Wolf is research social scientist with the University of Washington School of Environmental and Forest Sciences and research associate with the US Forest Service Pacific Northwest Research Station. Dr. Wolf will share the most current research about individual and community health outcomes related to nearby nature experiences.
